Accessibility
MobilityAtlas is built to be used by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, switch access, magnifiers, or voice control.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on every page. We test each page with automated checks and by keyboard at phone and desktop sizes.
Built in
- Display settings at the top of every page: larger text, high contrast, and reduce motion. Saved on this device only.
- A "Skip to main content" link, clear headings, and landmarks for screen readers.
- A strong focus outline so you can always see where you are when using a keyboard or switch.
- Large buttons and links, at least 44 pixels, for people with limited hand movement.
- Text and colors with strong contrast, and plain language.
- Pages that work at any width, from a small phone to a large screen, and at 400% zoom.
- Tools that work without a mouse, and that print cleanly.
